As a performer he has toured Europe, the Far East and N. America and has appeared in over 40 recordings of contemporary music. "Eloquent…an outstanding recording" – review in Neue Zeitschrift für Musik of Anissegos’ recording of Cage’s Sonatas and Interludes.

Maria Magdalena Wiesmaier broadcasts and performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe. Notable projects have been her collaborations with oud-player Nabil Hilaneh and the actor Klaus Maria Brandauer.
