Held alongside the masterclasses is a new series of lectures linked to Hans Keller. Following this session, from 5.00pm-6.15pm, Nicky Swett will present Behind the Music: Pre-compositional thought in Benjamin Britten’s Second Quartet, featuring live excerpts performed by the Aestus Quartet.

Hannah Uzor, Artist in Residence and current holder of the Milein Cosman Scholarship for Drawing at the Slade School of Fine Art, has been drawing the musicians at work during the residencies. Her work will be exhibited in WRCH foyer in April 2023.

Hans Keller Forum (HKF) is a new ChamberStudio programme which provides in-depth mentorship for selected chamber ensembles from UK conservatoires. It runs as a set of three day residential courses held at West Road Concert Hall.

HKF is funded by the Cosman Keller Art and Music Trust, the Albert and Eugenie Frost Music Trust CIO, and Philip Carne.
