Since leaving Cambridge in 2007, Clare Hammond has established a career as an international concert pianist with a reputation for “brilliantly imaginative concert programmes” (BBC Music Magazine). In 2016 she won the Royal Philharmonic Society’s ‘Young Artist’ Award and in 2020 performs for the International Piano Series at the Southbank Centre. Clare is married, with two very young daughters. In this talk she discusses how to establish and sustain a career as a performing musician, while aiming to build a fulfilling personal and family life.
