Chloé Van Soeterstède, Principal Guest Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, conducts Cambridge University Orchestra, as they perform Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite (1919) and Brahms’ Symphony No. 4.
Based on Russian folk tales, Stravinsky’s suite tells of Prince Ivan, who gains a magical feather from the Firebird and destroys the immortal sorcerer Kastchei, freeing enchanted princesses. Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 is viewed as a work of profound depth that many critics regard as his greatest masterpiece.
Priority Booking for this event is open, with general release on Monday 6 April.
