Choir 2000 is pleased to return to the beautiful West Road Concert Hall after a three year hiatus on Sunday 26 June. This concert is the Choir’s first major event under its new Musical Director, Chloë Allison and we’re looking forward to performing the much loved Mozart Requiem and, at the end of a month of Jubilee celebrations, will include its own small contribution with the inclusion of two of Handel’s Coronation Anthems in the programme.
more about Choir 2000
Choir2000 began (as the name suggests!) in the Year 2000 as a one off coming together of singers to celebrate the new millenium. Everyone enjoyed it so much that the choir decided to continue and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
25 years on, Choir2000 now numbers around 100 regular singers, performing serious choral works as well as light hearted pieces under its brilliant and dynamic Musical Director Chloe Allison. The choir is known as one of the best and friendliest non-auditioning choirs in the Cambridge area.
