Choir2000 are a large amateur choir based in Histon, originally founded for one concert to celebrate the Millennium- but still going strong 24 years later!

We are led by our amazing Musical Director Chloë Allison and will be joined by the wonderful Choir2000 orchestra, accompanist Clare Bullimore and fabulous soloists:

Soprano: Anna-Luise Wagner
Tenor: Peter Weatherley
Bass: Peter Norris

The Pilgrims who journeyed to Chaucer’s Canterbury in 1380 show us the best and the worst in ourselves and those around us, inviting us to laugh, to reflect and to cherish community.

Dyson’s musical poems are equally vivid, in some places boisterous, some humorous, some moving. Written for performance in 1930, they reflect Dyson’s rejection of the extremes of musical modernism, in favour of tuneful, accessible music, designed for performance by Choral Societies, who adopted the piece with great enthusiasm. Choir 2000 are looking forward to following in their footsteps.

With generous support from the George Dyson Trust

more about Choir 2000

We are a community choir, rehearsing on Wednesday evenings (7:30-9:45pm) at Histon Baptist Church.

The Choir promotes three concerts each year (December; March and June) which we perform at Histon Baptist Church. Since 2007, we've also taken one of our June performances to West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge, in order to provide our members with the opportunity to perform in a larger venue.
