Jacqueline Shave – a guest leader of many leading British orchestras and former director of Britten Sinfonia – directs the flagship Cambridge University Orchestra from the violin in its final concert of the academic year. The programme celebrates the thematic connection between Richard Strauss’ Metamorphosen, which will be performed by 23 solo string players from the Orchestra, and Beethoven’s ‘Eroica’ symphony.
