
The University Orchestra’s Michaelmas term opens with a major orchestral performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s incidental music for A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The concert will feature Cambridge University Orchestra under internationally renowned conductor, Jac van Steen, as well as members of the Cambridge University Chamber Choir and Schola Cantorum. There will be spoken extracts from Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, with leading student actors will work with professional director Anne Sutton to create an exciting musical-theatrical performance of this classic work.
