What we offer

The Concert Hall (499 seats) is complemented by a large, bright Foyer (340 sq. m) which is ideal for exhibitions, registration, networking and catering. These spaces are supplemented by wireless broadband Internet in the foyer, a computer room which can provide delegates with access to the Internet and printing facilities, plus 6 breakout rooms varying between 40-100 in their capacities. The Recital Room, which is the largest breakout room, provides a large and versatile space suitable for many uses. Its flat wooden floor and flexibly curtained walls make it ideal for seminars or lectures for up to 100 people, or as an additional exhibition or catering space.

From MC bid:

The Concert Hall auditorium is one of the largest plenary spaces in Cambridge, seating up to 499 people in a raked, air-conditioned, theatre-style layout.

We have six syndicate rooms on offer, with capacities from 40 to 100 in a variety of layouts. Our 340 sq.m foyer offers one of the largest floor spaces in Cambridge for refreshments, exhibitions and receptions. All rooms are on the ground floor and therefore easily accessible by wheelchair.

West Road Concert Hall forms part of the University of Cambridge's Music Faculty which is within an easy 5-10 minute walk of many colleges offering accommodation and parking.

Our hire rates are based on a minimum rental of 8.5 hours per day to which audio visual and catering can be added to suit your needs.

Accomodation

Although unable to offer accommodation ourselves, we often work side by side with our neighbouring colleges to provide a range of both old and modern rooms to suit your delegates’ needs. Nearby colleges include King’s, Queens’, Robinson, Selwyn and Newnham, although, being so centrally located, many more are within easy reach. We suggest that the most comprehensive way to source accommodation in a college is through Meet Cambridge, the University’s free venue finding facility. A commission free service, their friendly and knowledgeable staff will also be able to help you with your requirements.

Catering

Catering can be provided through our contracted external caterers, Langley Larder, whether you're looking for a full day of catering for conference clients or a drinks and canapes reception at an evening event. Examples of the type of food and drink that Langley Larder can offer.

AV

The concert hall auditorium has five 4K PTZ cameras and a Dante-based audio network, making hybrid events a possibility.

Parking

Parking onsite is extremely limited due to our central location in Cambridge, but Park and Ride services run regularly throughout the day to the 'University Library' stop, conveniently located 2 minutes' walk from our front door. West Road is a 10 minute taxi ride from Cambridge railway station. Trains run regularly from London Kings Cross / St Pancras and London Liverpool Street, and from the North via Peterborough.
